My name is John, and I like to make music.

John Reeve is a musician based out of Durango CO. From songwriting to audio engineering, from pedal steel to clarinet, from stage management to performance, John has deep experiences across wide sectors of the music industry.

John has been on the stage playing guitar and singing his songs for almost 30 years. But he’s been playing piano or double bass with big bands, pedal steel and accordion in country bands, organ and synth in jam bands, and upright and mandolin with folk groups for almost as long.

After decades of collaborating in support of other musicians, they have started stepped into a role of writing and producing. 25 years ago, you might have gotten a hand-painted CD from them, but these days you’re more likely to stumble accross John’s music on various streaming platforms.

While John has “escaped” Texas for Colorado, his deep roots there in communities such as the Kerrville Folk Festival keep calling him back.
